Personally , I don't worry about what is going on in space.
I think we have much bigger things to worry about right here on earth.

You're certainly correct, the size of the universe numbs the mind and it's still growing! Happy that the monster black hole is not headed our way!The Universe continues to boggle the mind.
Just recently verified, this thing is careening along thru the Universe at 2.2Million mph, and is 10 million times larger than the sun. No worries tho, it's 9billion light years distant, and not headed in our direction. :)

Hopefully, they're no Democrats!Just wait until the giant sentient spiders get here. Of course that's why we have the Space Force!
And we know the universe is expanding because? It's all based on assumptions. Of course two things usually pointed to prove the fallacy of human assumptions. The earth is flat and the earth is the center of the solar system/galaxy/universe (take your pick). We actually don't know the one way speed of light. We use two way computations. For all we know, light might be instantaneous one direction. To add to that, labs have slowed down light to the point of near stopping. IIRC it was like 4 mph. And for more mind numbing fun. The universe is expanding exponentially faster than the speed of light.
