Ruger Vaquero .45

What weight ammo should I use for the Vaquero .45 for target shooting.

What will shoot to POA. You'll just have to see where 'your' gun shoots. Maybe it is 200g bullets, 250g RNFP, 255 SWC, 185g .... You'll just have to 'experiment'. All guns are different.

In my New Vaquero/Montado I've been using 7 grains 231 for a nice, fairly accurate target load with 250 gr rnfp bullets.

I went for group size. I use 8.6 gr Unique. I get about 950 fps, a bit stout for folks used to .45ACP.
