Ruger Stainless Bisley Blackhawk - .45 Colt - 7.5" Barrel

I understand that Ruger made a limited number of the New Model Bisley Blackhawks in Stainless Steel, .45 Colt caliber with a 7-1/2 inch barrel. I have seen a number of the same model stainless single-actions but with the 5-1/2 inch barrel, however, not with the longer barrel.

Do you have any information on this 7-1/2 inch barreled stainless Bisley as far as approximate production dates and quantities manufactured?

I'm not aware that Ruger ever made a SS Bisley of any sort with a 7.5" barrel.

There were ~300 New Model Bisley Super Blackhawk Hunters made in Stainless Steel, .45 Colt caliber with a 7-1/2 inch barrel.

The Hunter model is a morphadite. But it is available with a Bisley handle and was indeed available in 45 Colt for a while.

Yes, the Hunters were SS with a 7.5" barrel - I didn't think of those as the OP referenced the 5.5" guns. My response of "any sort" is obviously wrong.

I sold my 45C Bisley Hunter a couple of months ago on GB...

Dang, you done good on that one. I had a Bisley Hunter in 41 but just couldn't get used to the scope in that position so I sold it and drilled and tapped the topstrap of a Bisley.

I don't think it's a factory gun. Either a barrel or grip frame swap was performed.

The Red Case, looks factory.
Upon looking at the photo in actual size, the Grip Frame to Cylinder Frame mate sure looks nice.
The barrel doesn't have the "Warning" on the side of the barrel.
There were some 7.5" barrel guns out there in the past but during the period when they were stamped on the side. Not saying it could have been removed or custom.
The wood in the grips look interesting.

Agree SN# or label on the end of the box sure would be nice.

Interesting gun either way.
