Hey guys, heres my first range report on the Ruger SR9C I picked up yesterday. I put 200 rounds of Federal 115gr and about 15 rounds of Golden Saber 124 hp through it today. I had just one malfunction about 150 rounds in I had a FTE but that was the only malfunction i had today. This is the first striker fired pistol i have ever owned and I love it the gun feels great in my had the trigger is awesome. My best target is right below 10 shots at 7 yards standing medium rate of fire group is right at 1in 1/2 which is the best I ever done with a new gun and will only get better the more i practice. I will also add that the recoil is very manageable.

I agree that the 9c has a great trigger. A buddy has a G26 and went and shot that the other day to compare to the Ruger. The glock had an easier slide but the triggers were about equal and I paid $225 less than he did. Congratulations on the new gun and good shooting !

Congrats on the new gun and best wishes! I've put more rounds through the SR9c than any other modern gun I own, because I love shooting it so much. And it is capable of outstanding accuracy as you have shown by your target (good shooting!).

Just got my SR9C and love it!! It's my first hand gun and boy was I surprised. I can hit the side of a barn!! The recoil is nothing. You can shoot all day long. The only learning curve was NOT to bear down on the sights like you would a rifle. It was easy to load, easy to clean and A LOT OF FUN to shoot.

Easy to see why it was Gun of the Year a coupla years ago. Love mine, hope you enjoy yours as much. Carry mine everywhere I go- well- except banks....ya know.

I've only put through 900 rounds (300 each) through my 3 handguns (FNX-9, PX4 Storm 9mm, SR9c), and so far, the SR9c is the one that I am most consistent with. I am sure that if I put the other guns in a vise and fired them at a target that they would be nailing tight groupings. With me, though, my PX4 groupings aren't as tight as the SR9c's, and my FNX-9 groupings are good, but I'll always have a flyer or two for every 10-20 rounds I shoot.

My inconsistency with the other handguns is due to my poor shooting, so it isn't a knock on them. I will say this, though - I like the way all of the handguns feel in my hands, but there's something about the SR9c's sights and how easy they are for me to line up. I don't know why I feel this way about them vs. the other guns' sights. They are just the basic 3-dot sights that came standard with each handgun.

I really am digging the SR9c. I wish they made one in .45 ACP...
