The other day I picked up a Ruger SR9. It's not only my first Ruger but also my first 9mm.

Had a great time. Today was also the first time I ever shot steel targets. I enjoyed it more then any paper target I ever shot at.

What was the distance?

As for the distance I can't say for sure as I just paced it off, but I would say about 40 yards.

What can I expect to be a reasonable distance that a 9mm will shoot?

Looks pretty good for offhand shooting at 40 yds 8)

Not sure what you mean as a reasonable distance a 9mm will shoot? I had a "tricked out" Para P 18 with Caspian slide with a J point that i could hit 1 gal jugs with out to 100yds :roll:
