I will say at first when I purchase the gun I was thinking wow what a big mistake.I never did own a striker fire firearm but shoot both IDPA @ USPSA
I was looking for a 9mm pistol for steel plates and IDPA my choice was the sr9 .
I did go with a few upgrades trigger bar polished all internal and yes cut 2 coils off the striker spring.The gun is smooth as silk brakes at a tad under 3 1/2 lbs can this pistol shoot for competition YES.
I also played with reloads the gun seem to shoot .356 dia: excellent but the bullet that makes it greater is .357 dia.
My load is 3.5 bulleye with 147 gr. R.N. plated from Extreme bullet company
another great load is 4.3 with Power Pistol . both bullet at 1.160
I know cutting coil may lead to light primer hits but I yet to had any issue with light hits.
Funny it my go to gun shooting local matches.
