Hello, and asking your pardon if this has been addressed already.

Just picked up my SR22 on Monday, and notice that when I go to work the slide to eject a chambered round, the round is not tossed out the port....it just drops down into the magwell, or falls out the side if I hold it sideways.

Can those of you with these pistols tell me if that is a problem with yours?
Does it need to be fired to eject correctly?

Thanks in advance for any response.

It wont eject the round in the chamber UNLESS i have a magazine in.
Wow. If thats the way it is meant to be, that will take some getting used to.

I just tried ejecting a live round from my SR22 pistol. After removing the magazine, I retracted the slide and the round was properly ejected and it didn’t matter what position the safety was in. Sounds as though you may have an extractor issue??
Let us know how she performed after test firing.

Thanks, Ranger. Damned odd. If the magazine is in the pistol, the ejector will toss the cycled round into next week.

If I remove the mag, the extractor will pull the round when cycled, but just hold it until i shake the round loose, or it falls on its own....no eject.

Nice to know this isnt some new odd design. 'preciate your checking.

Just tried mine, stripped a round from the mag and it chambered, dropped the mag and pulled the slide back and the round went flying.

The question to be asked is, does it reliably eject rounds when the gun is fired? You should be able to move the ejector left and right. It should also hold a round in place. You can break down the gun and put a round under the ejector. But I would just go fire it and see what happens. If it works you don't have a problem. My MKIII fires flawlessly but manually trying to eject the shells doesn't seem to be enough force for them to go flying out the side.

Well, the extractor holds the round fine. It appears to be the ejector alone that has some confusion regarding its duty....
