I just finished re-assemblying my .45-70 BFR and the Allen-head cap screws Magnum Research uses are NICE. Does anybody know where I might get sets of them for OM Blackhawks and S. Blackhawks in blue?

BTW, many of the BFR internals are identical to Ruger's. I scrunched the pawl plunger spring when I first joined the cylinder frame (yea, I know, I'm the first one who's ever done that) and I used a new spring and pawl for my S. Blackhawk and it was a perfect fit.

When D-Max started making what became BFR they used a LOT of Ruger parts. I see that, from your comments, not much has changed. :D

I understand Pine Tree is still doing most of the casting for MRI. When Kahr bought MRI last year, it sure would have been nice if Sturm Ruger could have bought the BFR section and put their name on it. All they would have to have done is change the roll stamp on the barrel and any logos on the grips, and they'd have a Super Blackhawk Xtreme.

The back 2 are easy, just order Bisley Screws, Now as for the bottom screws, One could go short on the one and shorten one for the front,,, but the capture screw,,,

hmmmm have to think about that one.

Would it be possible to see a picture of the front bottom screw?

Some thoughts...
