I'm guessing that the Zuckerberg Nazis have shut it down due to some imagined rule violation. NO SALES of any kind were allowed there. One of the very few Facebook groups that I actually enjoyed.

Yes, I seem to recall a thread about it also. Sounded like creator of the group made it more trouble than it was worth.

Still up and running. As an admin on a few diff fb groups, I can say the rules are in place for a reason. They keep those lacking common sense out -> A "Ruger only" group and ppl start right in posting about brand x, y and z. Makes as much sense as asking about semi autos in a revolver group. Links quickly get out of hand and can be a haven for spammers spreading virus crap. Rules state "no links" that means just that - no links. Doesn't take a genius to comprehend. Then there's those that will join a group for no other reason that push their products or their own group. Nope, that too gets out of hand quickly. Problem is, very few people join these groups and even bother reading the rules or just think they're above them. Seeing groups now requires couple simple questions be answered join. One I see often "did you read and understand the rules". Zero excuses after that.

I don't facebook or other such stuff. But this Forum,,, well,,, I've always truly appreciated the way it's been run. From the way members police themselves, (mostly) to the lack of pop-ups & ads.

I'd think the rules on any privately owned net address, where anybody can see them,,, can & should be at the discretion of the owner. And from all I've seen in my limited internet stuff,,, I can appreciate why owners would do such stuff.

For selling,,, (if that's all you do,) then there are web sites for that.
The occasional sale of stuff,,, has been, and can be regulated by the site owner to HELP prevent many problems.

Oh Gosh,
My apologies to Mr Mathies. I knew he was "The Man" behind this, and yes does a superb job !
I was thinking of the Ruger Forum..
Cheers,
