Well, after looking at Rugers in 10mm/40 or 10mm w/ moon clips and a Ruger 45LC/ACP along with a Redhawk 44 Magnum, I stumbled across a listing on gunbroker from Bud's Guns for a Redhawk 4.2" 41 Magnum pistol for $852 + shipping. I was also looking at S&W M57 and M657 and decided to go with the Redhawk. I had previously bought a Blackhawk 6.5" 41 Magnum, so was set up to reload for it.
I had a Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag 4.2" that had fairly stout recoil with 240gr max loads and after shooting the Blackhawk 41, I liked how the recoil impulse was less even with the stout 210gr loads. I think this Redhawk 41 will shoot real nice with less recoil but plenty of power.

I didn't want to roll out almost $900 total for the Redhawk 41 shipped and FFL fees but after 3 weeks of mulling it over, the thought wouldn't go away and I figure I better get one while they still had some. I think Bud's still has 7 left if anybody is interested. Item #787148516 .
Looking forward to taking her out for a spin.

I have the 5.5" barrel version in 41 mag and it is one of my favorite handguns to shoot. You won't be disappointed.

Yea, I like the 5.5" Redhawk 44 Magnum and I have a Super Redhawk 44 7.5".
I think the 41 Magnum will be perfect in the 4" length with less recoil but plenty of power.
I may still look at the round butt, full lug Redhawk 44 Mag 4" later on, but will probably look for a 5.5".
