ruger p944 and the p91

looking hard at getting one or the other.

would appreciate thoughts about the differences in their recoil spring systems.......the p944's usage of a dual captive inner/outer spring system compared to the p91's single std spring........(guessing about the p944 from looking at the parts book on this)

is the p944 a "softer" shooter than the p91 with these changes?

the cam vs link change seems to be a non-issue.....or is it?

I have both KP944 and KP91DC. They shoot and feel about the same. There is one problem for you; They both use the link, no camblock.

Some of the P944's have the camblock. Mine has the link. If I were choosing between those 2 I would probably opt for the P944 just because it is still in production whereas the P91 has been discontiinued.

If you want a P944 I would say buy one ASAP. It was never a huge seller and will probably be discontinued now that the SR40 is here.
