I have a chance to get a nice Ruger No1 in 270 with a bsa scope for $500 is that a fair price?

He got the No1 from a old man who bought it I think in the 70s maybe. it is new looking.that is what the man sold it to him for.he also got a red label OU 20ga with the factory box for $500 also. he wants $800 for it. hes selling them because he is getting some bills off him.

$500 is the price usually paid for "Builders". Something to take apart to make a project.

Forr a 70s 70s rifle in good/great shape, it's dirt cheap.

thanks for the info guys.he said the No1 dont have the old factory box like the red label. I get it wednesday.
