Ruger no.1 ?

At the local gun shop I saw a no.1 in 375 (no big deal) but next to it was a no.1 with a barrel almost as thick , iron sights and in 30-06 caliber .
The barrel was much thicker than a typical 1-A . It was the same length as the 375 .
Is this a regular run rifle or something uncommon?

They were a limited run of 250 I think. Not rare, but not common either.

I happen to know that El Numero Uno, aka Lee, has a couple in stock.

I have one and I really love it! It shot a 100 yard three shot group of .5" with 180 grain Hornady Superformance SST's... 8)

There are two, side by side at a local store near me. I really like the barrel profile as well. Looks like a shooter. I visit them each time I stop in the shop and check out the inventory. One day they will be gone.
