Ruger Mini in 30 Carbine

Ok, I know this surfaced before now. But, but, but, why not. Same rifle as the current mini (size and weight) but in 30 carbine. And oh yea, it uses GI 30 carbine mags.
What a great little rifle to compliment the Mini 14 and Mini 30 I already have. In fact put me down for 3 right now. My sons would love one for Christmas.

There are several calibers I would like to see a Mini 14 in.

1.) 5.45X39mm
2.) 6.5 Grendel
3.) .30 Carbine

And how about a real Deer rifle caliber?

Since I am dreaming here, how about a Mini 14 in 10mm Automatic! I want to see what my handloads will get for velocity out of a 16in barrel. I am betting a full charge of Blue Dot (that gets ~1250+ft/s) with a 180gr bullet should top out around 1400-1500 ft/s...

First let me say I love my M1 carbine... but I can't see why in the world Ruger would want to make one.... there are a lot better rifle rounds than this.

Aguila sells M1 Carbine ammo for about $19.99 per 50 - that would help. I know 223 is cheapest, but for a "different" caliber it's a pretty good selling point. It doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult to engineer a M1 carbine caliber Mini, but I'm no engineer so perhaps there is a reason?

Maybe the best reason is they'd be competing with the M1 Carbine - I do like my 1943 Inland a touch more than my Mini.
