How To Get A Ruger Letter of Authenticity:

Go here to the Ruger site:

You will see this: For Letters of Authenticity, please download and mail in the Request for Letter of Authenticity form. The Letter of Authenticity lists the serial number, ship date, model and caliber. We are unable to provide any information beyond that.

They now, IIRC, will also tell you where (to who) it was originally shipped.

The cost is a MEASLY $10 per firearm

Can't beat the price. Especially good for older firearms to confirm what you have is how it left the factory

Think this is lumped in with the "Ruger Collector Info" thread at the top of the page but ….. don't hurt to revisit it.
