I got my Single-six "flatgate" off of layaway yesterday, and as promised I have some pics. But first I discovered that the conversion bar was not installed, it was just sitting in the hammer well. When I jiggled the gun upside down it fell out. It was just sitting in there. The gun functions perfectly without it, it has 3 distinct clicks when cocking the hammer, and it locks up tight when fully cocked, no wiggle or jiggle of cylinder either front-back or side-side. I took off the ugly grips, and it is a XR3 grip frame, so I guess I have to find some old style grip panels for it because I found out that the XR3 panels on my 50th anniversary 357 don't fit. The gun has some holster wear, but for a 5 digit serial #, at $199.00. I'm happy with it.

Hit the edit button,,, and at the end of each picture hit the return button.

Don't go too far with that transfer bar, Your going to need it, yes the gun operates,,, but without the transfer bar it is not going to hit the firing pin.

Interesting too is it appears your skinny well curved Original trigger is installed.

I'm thinking you have a hodgepoge of OM/ Conversion Parts going on there. Not to worry it can all be made right. and at 2 Benjamin's you did good.
Those grips are something else, looks like the wood is from a Home Depot fir 2x4, they do look well crafted.

Yep, your right, I took out the cylinder, and put the center pin back in, cocked it and put my finger over the firing pin and dry fired it, nothing. So I guess I need to put that bar back in, I probably should bring it back to Gander Mtn. and have there 'smith look at it. But I think I'll have my nephew look at it first. He does a great job tearing guns apart and putting 'em back together again, he also does some great hot blueing jobs as well. Oh well, I guess eventually you end up with someone elses problem when you buy used guns. But I like this one and its gonna stay here with my 3 screw single six combo, and liberty model single six.

the picture shows a 'safety conversion hammer" is in the gun, maybe the transfer bar "broke"???I'd venture to say the gun would not fire with the bar GONE as it is needed to transfer the inertia the new conversion needs.....can be remedied easily enough...............good price anyway

Thank-you to whoever straightened out my pics above. Here's some pics of the transfer bar that fell out, can one of the experts here tell if this is the proper one for this gun.

Yes, the transfer bar you have is most likely the proper part.

The "conversion kit" trigger has a small "arm" that has a stud that
carries the "hole" in the transfer bar.

Questions? 2 or 3 HUNDRED of the guys here on Ruger Forum have the "conversion kit" owner's manual gathering dust on some shelf in their basements. Ask for one to be mailed to you.......
