Well it finally happened. My MK1 Bull Barrel pistol finally broke. I bought it new on July 9, 1972 for $69.00. I added walnut grips purchased from Ruger for the princely sum of $6.50. I have been shooting this thing twice a week for 43 years. On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving the trigger broke in half. I called Ruger and the nice customer service lady suggested I purchase a shipping label from her and send it in. I shipped it the next day and it was received in Prescott on Monday. Ruger was closed on Thanksgiving and the following Friday. Monday afternoon I received a call from Jim a service tech. He told me they had no new triggers, but he could install a used one. No brainer of course I went for it. Jim said because he could not install a new trigger he would like to rebuild and refinish my pistol as compensation for not being able to provide a new trigger. That conversation took place on a Monday the following Monday my gun was delivered. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Ruger for making this old guy very happy and grateful. By the way there was no charge.

You hear that Ruger customer service is "maybe" the best in the firearms industry. This is an example why. What a cool story fas111. I'm really glad to read stories like this. Thanks for tellin' your story!!

Regards.

Ruger CS (even tho I've never had occasion to use it) is one of the primary reasons I tend to prefer their firearms over others. :)

I have also found Ruger Customer Service to be the BEST in this business. I've been dealing with Ruger Mark pistols since 1971 and have NEVER found them to NOT be a co-operative venue.................EVER!

They refinished my MKI that was beat to heck and they did an awesome job. It looks like a new pistol and I think they replaced every pin and spring in the thing! I wanted them to D&T it so I could put an optic rail on it and they offered to do that for free if I bought the rail from them, no brainer there! Ruger factory service is the best.

A few years ago, stupid local FFL placed his billboard price sticker over a 50th Bearcat box, when I removed the price sticker, it took off the delicate printing on the plastic cover. Called Ruger CS, in a very few days received a new replacement box with correct end label, model and serial number included on a new box. Had a few other experiences with Ruger CS, they always took care of me.

My CS experiences with Ruger are limited to a replacement rear sight for a
Mark I and a few ring exchanges, but I have always found them cheerful and accommodating. Good enough!
