Well it finally happened. My MK1 Bull Barrel pistol finally broke. I bought it new on July 9, 1972 for $69.00. I added walnut grips purchased from Ruger for the princely sum of $6.50. I have been shooting this thing twice a week for 43 years. On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving the trigger broke in half. I called Ruger and the nice customer service lady suggested I purchase a shipping label from her and send it in. I shipped it the next day and it was received in Prescott on Monday. Ruger was closed on Thanksgiving and the following Friday. Monday afternoon I received a call from Jim a service tech. He told me they had no new triggers, but he could install a used one. No brainer of course I went for it. Jim said because he could not install a new trigger he would like to rebuild and refinish my pistol as compensation for not being able to provide a new trigger. That conversation took place on a Monday the following Monday my gun was delivered. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Ruger for making this old guy very happy and grateful. By the way there was no charge.
