Yesterday I bought a GP 100 10 shot .22, this morning I took it shooting and it cycled fine in single action mode but would not cycle past 8 or 9 rounds in double action mode, I tried 7 different brands of .22’s, cleaned chambers, star ratchet etc. the gun would lock up and the cylinder would not be over the bolt. Frustrated I came home to call Ruger (which in the the past has always been fantastic) I was on hold 22 minutes before someone answered, he seemed to be in an unfriendly mood, didn’t want the serial number of my gun or really much input, just told me the gun had to come back (which is what I wanted anyway) so I asked him for a RMA to send it back, he told they don’t do that and take it back to the store where I got it and have them call Ruger. Fortunately I had bought the gun from Davidsons thru my local dealer and they are taking care of it. First time I have ever had to return a Ruger for quality issues and I must have over 50 different Ruger.
