A while back I sent a letter to Ruger to compliment them on their first rate customer service. The fact that they work hard to resolve any issue a customer has in a fast and satisfactory manner is all one could ask for but today I received a hat as thanks for recognizing their excellent service.

I have always had good luck with them. After they fixed an old, used Speed Six for me (changed all springs and plungers and the entire trigger group!) and sent it back to me 2nd day air -- all for free -- I bought a new GP100 rather than a S&W 686 I had been looking at.

I would agree with Ashlander's comments.

My first and only experience with Ruger customer service was back in 1990. I had just bought a new P85, it was involved in a recall. Ruger contacted me, sent me a prepaid shipping container, fixed the issue, sent the pistol back to me, with a free 15 round magazine for my efforts.

I own other brands of firearms, but Ruger customer service is outstanding.

YMMV

Sent my LC9 in a while back. Hammer had some pretty deep indents from striking the firing pin which didn't seem right and they agreed. They installed a new hammer and the turn around time was remarkably fast. End of story... not quite. Got a box in the mail today from Ruger. Don't remember ordering anything, wonder what it is? You guessed it... a hat! Not some cheap, soon to fall apart hat, this hat is first class. But what else would one expect from such a first class company. Thanks Ruger! Best customer service I have seen in a long, long time.

They sent me a hat the 2nd (and last) time I sent my 9c back. Just posted this on another thread but, I've been waiting over 2 months for a replacement tritium vial from S&W. Not really knocking S&W, good company, but don't think Ruger woulda made me wait so long for something so small.

Sent my SR9 back three months ago and they replaced the frame, barrel and both mags. Now i have a like new 3 rd. generation pistol from what was an early 1 st. generation, and it was a done at no charge. It was gone for five weeks and it was well worth the wait, they are great people, and Ruger is the best of the best firearms manufacturers.

Recently contacted the AZ folks. Couldn't have been nicer, and sent me a next day air prepaid label immediately. Very happy with their efforts in service. What a nice way to run a business.
