Can anyone give me any information on these? I came across one in excellent condition with a factory letter which verifies the configuration, but with no box. Anyone know when and how many were made in duotone? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think this thread had info on how many made.

Nice single sizes by the way

I bought one of those probably 2 or 3 years ago now. I paid $500 for mine from Cabela's actually, brown shipping box, yellow box and the pistol or course. I think the answer was there were 750 or something like that made. Great pistol by the way.

The mark under the cylinder is just a thumb print I didn't wipe off before taking the picture.

neato burrito!

Anyone else in favor of a Lipsey run of these?

Or is this something that's been done and i'm just not aware of it.

That's one handsome pair of six shooters! :!:

I find these to be a particularly handsome sixgun. Especially those I've seen with very dark grips. Would look great with some cocobolo!

These were a special run for Outdoor Sports in 1989. Here's what I have on that one from the Reference:

RB-22WS special distributor model. Known s/n range 261-03585 to 262-15077. A total of 735 shipped in 1989 to Outdoor Sports (OH). Original retail $314.50.

Convincing any distributor to make another run of these would be a risky proposition I.M.O. The Bisley Single-Six was dropped from Ruger's production a few years ago (Lack 'O Sales). It also takes that one in a million individual who's actually looking for one of the 1989 produced guns.

Wow, only 750 made :P I suppose there's not enough around that are bought and sold to get an idea of value. Thanks for the info.

I know of one Ruger Collector whom purchased MANY of them for the sole purpose of removing the stainless grip frames and installing them on his stainless Blackhawk shooters. He was NOT alone in this endeavor!

heck no, I want mine to go up in price :)

You do see a bisley grip frame from time to time so building your won is a possibility.
