I have an lcr and an lcrx, both in 38. I also just got a mk iv in .22, after many years of shooting bigger bores I am finding the .22 is a whole bunch of fun. Also have a bird's head wrangler that is just as much fun.
I am thinking about a sa/da .22 revolver, and am looking at a 3" lcrx. I have read, however, that the trigger on the .22 cal lcrx is substantially stiffer, weight wise. All my wheelguns run about 9 pounds in DA, some with tinkering and some right out of the box.....like ruger.
I am seeking any and all input from those that have the lcrx in .22 AND in .38; comparing the two. Mainly comparing the triggers.
Thanks in advance.

LCR 22 triggers are very heavy. I looked into getting one as a cheap ammo trainer for them38 and the 22 has such a heavy trigger it wasn't going to be a good training substitute.

I have these 3. The lcr in 38 has a great trigger pull. The lcr in 22 isn't too bad. The lcrx in 22mag is horrible.

I don’t think the LCR 22, has a bad trigger. All 22 revolvers have a harder trigger than their center fire counterparts. The rimfire primers, require a harder strike to be consistent.
The trigger angle Ruger uses on the LCR is improved over the standard trigger.
