Does anyone know? Is the rib on a BH Hunter model an actual part of the steel of the barrrel or is it a rib that is attached via something like silver soldering or welding to a round barrel?

I am almost positive that it is attached to the barrel.
I would say it is ONE chunk of metal.
I don't know for sure, But I have cut one down to 5.5" and it looks as one solid piece to me.
I have also milled the side of one, Kinda like the .22 hunter, no signs of being 2 piece.
. . . as much as I have cut, chop, and rebuild on them, I would think I would have seen something if it were 2 piece.imo
