Hi. I am new to the forum and would like some info on a handgun that I recently purchased. It is a Ruger Bearcat Serial #43XX. No box just gun alone. I would like to know the date it was made and current value. Not interested in selling just for insurance purposes.

Vales has a lot to do with condition. You didn't give any serious info on condition. It could be as little as $200 to as much as $500. Then there are other factors,,, such as does it have a "D" or an "S" stamped on the frame anywhere?
The devil is in the details.

Looks like 1960...

That makes it an "old model" action without the transfer bar. So, like the older Colts, etc. always carry it with only 5 rounds in the cylinder and the hammer down on an empty chamber.
