I have a 50s / 60s Ruger Auto tie clip with working breech. I am trying to identify the year.
There listings I see are:
1957 Large, 1959 Medium, 1961 Small.

Any help would be appreciated.

1957 Large auto pistol tie clip Functioning miniature pistol. 170 produced.
1958 Ruger Ashtray in shape of pistol. Black eagle logo.24 produced. 10 may survive.
1958 Cufflink set "HICKOK" Round circle Sturm Ruger logo in Hickock box. 50 produced.
1959 on Ten Year tie pin Given to employees after 10 years of service. Cutout of Ruger eagle with 10 year service logo.
1959 on Ten Year tie bar and cufflinks Same as above, but tie bar and cufflinks. 30 estimated.
1959 Medium Auto Pistol tie clip Same as 1957 model, but smaller. 170 produced.

That looks like the large size from 1957 to me. It almost fills the jewelry box.

Thanks for your comment. I'm trying to get as much information to list it on eBay. My father in-law started at Ruger in 62. So the 61 version seamed more likely, but I agree that it looks pretty big. Maybe they still had a few kicking around the shop or Bill Ruger's desk.

I concur with Chet15. It appears to be the larger one.

Be sure to let the collectors here know about the listing when you do list it.
