Yes, I fondled one about 2 weeks ago, it felt really lite, I think it would make a fine hunting rifle. I don't really care for the dull matte finish, I would of liked a nice deep bluing job better. But for a hunting rifle I guess the dull non reflective finish is better. I may buy one in 243 when they finally come out.My wife says NO MORE GUNS but she always says that.

I handled a few at the SHOT Show. I can say that for the price, the gun is exactly what a hunter needs. A higher polished & bluer gun would cost more to produce. Remember, it's a utility type of rifle, built to get folks into a quality firearm at a lower price.
As for how it's built, and feels. I felt it was a good one. I haven't shot one, but I figure it'll be similar to the hundreds of others I've shot. A good entry level gun for the beginning deer or varmit hunter.

Several weeks ago I had a big surprise when I when to LGS. Not only did they have in stock a SR22, but they had an American Rifle/30-06. Purchased the the 22 that day with three (3) extra magazines. Put the RAR on lay away. Should be able to pick up the rifle next week. I will also pick up a Redfield Scope (3x9x40) and out the door for about $560.00 including tax.
