Does anyone have an aftermarket source for the buffer pad? MCarbo has one for the PC which is smaller and thinner than the LC. Looking to find one of a different design that retains the c clip better.

This is the spare assy. Ruger CS sent me last year. I keep it in the original box.Thank you for the reply. Very 1st disassembly the clip came off and forced the rod to the back and I had to pry the pad out which stretched the hole that holds the plastic bushing. A spare clip is a great idea, thanks and I'll give Ruger a call.
I like MCarbo's PC design which eliminates the bushing and will keep looking around for something better than stock.
Thanks for the advice and I will certainly exercise it more. Just got off the phone with Ruger and a n/c replacement is on the way. The entire assembly runs $38.00 +s/h & tax.
It's kind of odd that they can send you an entire buffer assembly and not just the pad. If you want just the pad you have to send the gun in for what they call a "factory fit". They couldn't explain why that is, it is just in the script.
Btw, welcome to forum. Stick around.Ok, thanks. Not sure any of that has to do anything with the "factory fit" for a piece of rubber/syn at the end of the rod but I'll keep that in mind down the road.
Thanks for your help.
