i'm wanting to replace the rear sights on my 9e. Never have been a fan of the slanted novak style. I emailed ruger about the sight dimensions to no avail. He told me if a web sight offers sights for it they should fit. I am looking for a straight across type like on a factory glock or some low profile flat target sights. Wondered if anyone in this forum has tried replacing them and what they found worked. thanks in advance.

You might ask Ruger if the rear sight from a standard SR9 will fit. It's adjustable for elevation and drift adjustable for windage and will be an improvement.
Better yet there a fiber optic sight set from Williams that replaces the factory front sight and replaces the elevation slide on the factory SR9 rear sight with a full adjustable fiber optic rear. ShopRuger sells it. All of this will be a bit expensive but will certainly improve the sights on your 9E. http://shopruger.com/SR-Series-Sight-Set/productinfo/12936/

As I remember from comparing them at the shop, the 9E dovetail is much smaller than that of the SR.
