Ruger 96 Series Barrel Band.... I need one!

I have a Ruger 9617 .17 HMR that has the aluminum (I think) barrel band. The band broke in half and now I can't find another. Does anyone here know where to find one or does anyone happen to have one that they'd sell? I thought I might get lucky and be able to use a 10/22 band but they are slightly larger. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure were you can find one at but you might be able to make and new plastic one from a 10/22 work by sanding the inside of it to open it up a little to go over the 96 stock and barrel. This should also work with an aluminum one if there is enough material there to work with.

The 10/22 band is larger than the 96 series bands. A good bit larger.

Jack First Gunshop--I think that's the name of the place. The only place I could find a 96 barrel band 2 years ago.
