The LGS had 1 hanging on their wall for sale a few days ago, something you don't see too often. I agree that other pistol calibers would have been a good move. .41 and .357 mags would have sold well, if you could get some accuracy out of them.
I was always curious why they didn't sell that well. If the accuracy wasn't much good, it's almost understandable. They remind me of my old Winchester Model 88, with the 'non-traditional' stock, which might have been a factor in sales figures. Not real attractive to most.
My 88 is still my go to gun for deer. The trigger ain't much, but it's a good shooter when you get used to it. It's accurate, fits me well, and the only gun I own that I'll take a shot at a running deer with, as I know when I can make the shot.
