I noticed the other week that Ruger has them available again. PN 90566
Midway has them in stock for $149.
Just ordered one and found a 10% off coupon that expires today on gunsmithing items which the barrel seems to fall under. GSMITH1024

Cheers,
Tom

Well, I ordered it because I got a notification email that it was in stock. It came yesterday and I discovered that I hadn't noticed they sent me notification on the wrong one, the 16 1/2" instead of 18 1/2.
Luckily they are sending me a return label and giving me a full refund.
They don't have the 18 1/2 in stock but Ruger does, for the same price as Midway lists, and no tax or shipping.

Cheers

Ah ok.
I won't be using suppression or subsonic all the time, probably not even most of the time, so I don't think the standard length barrel will be an issue.

I had a gun smith thread the barrel of my 10-22 SS takedown. 95 bucks, in doing so he cut the front sight base off. I wasn't going to use the sights anyway. Suppresser would likely block it if he fitted another front sight on and its scopes for me at my age.

I looked around, hard to believe it but I couldn't find a gunsmith near who threads barrels.

Get a 10-22 threaded adapter. Works real good on stock Ruger barrels with front sight.
