RPR 22LR

I bought a RPR in 22LR yesterday. Setting it up to shoot, cleaned barrel, adjusted trigger. Checked the picatinney rail screws before mounting scope. None of the screws were tight. I removed them degreased the screws and holes, called ruger to get the torque setting for the screws and remounted with blue Loctite,
Bottom line if you buy a ruger with a factory installed scope base check the mounting screws before mounting the scope.

Recently bought an American Rifle with the factory installed scope. The scope base and rings were not tight.

15-18 inch lbs.
I torgued them to 17 In Lbs

Thanks. You must have a bicycle torque wrench; my 1/4' drive torque wrench starts at 20 in/lbs

I have an old torque wrench I bought from a retired machinist about 30 years ago. Goes from 10 to 150 inch lbs
