That one's mine and here's its brother, a .45Colt Bisley Vaquero. Both were done by Clements and only rounded on the heel.caryc said:Here is a pic of one. I considered doing mine myself, so I made a wood template or three to practice on. Found out that to get that rounded effect on the steel, I needed to loosen the belt on my 2" belt grindera bit. A little pressure on the wood would make the belt give and sorta wrap around the wood. Worked great! then.... on the second wood template...the damn grinder checked out of the net!! kaput... It was only 25 years old... sad to see it go at such a young age.. that's why I had a pro do it. Cheaper than replacing the grinder!
