Robert Vaughn the never aging actor has died at 83.

I first saw him in "The Lieutenant" a one season series that showed the peace time "Cold War" Marine Corps in a favorable light.

Hi,

Sad news--Vaughn will probably be remembered as Napoleon Solo over any other role, but was a very accomplished actor with a huge body of work on stage, screen and TV to his name. I wonder if David McCallum--"Ducky"--will be able to work his name into a line on NCIS in tribute? He'll be hard to replace. RIP, Mr. Vaughn.

My favorite TV show was the Man From UNCLE, I had the toy gun and everything..RIP Mr. Vaughn.

It would not surprise me especially since on an older episode Kate asks Gibbs what Ducky looked like when younger and his reply was Ilya Kuryakin and I wondered how many viewers would get the reference.

I dunno if it was as his current character Ducky or just as himself, but I heard a story about David McCallum being told he looked a lot like Ilya Kuryakin, to which he replied "I get that a lot!" :lol:
