RIP Nicholas Winton

Nicholas Winton died at 106... Mr. Winton was a 29 year old clerk in 1938 when things were looking mighty grim for Jewish people in Europe... His is quite a story. He's credited with rescuing 669 Jewish children from the Nazis, and he never told anyone about it for 50 years. Only when his wife found documents in their attic in 1988 did the news of what he did become known.

What a wonderful, good good man... And 106 ain't a bad run. Sometimes the good don't die young after all!

should celebrate. Not some stupid celebrity.

Excellent quote and much too true. These two and others were real heroes to emulate and let their examples show the best in humanity. Most of those we are told are celebrities typically have nothing in mind except self promotion and a quest for wealth.
