Restocking a Frontier

I hope this is the proper forum to ask this.
I'm wondering if a stock for a Ruger 77 Mk. 1 would fit a Hawkeye Frontier in 358..the Mk.1 stock being short action as is the Frontier.
Or would I be better served to find a short action synthetic stock for it.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Is the barrel contour any different on the Frontier?
I believe the barrel is nothing more than a cut-n-crowned M77 Mk II std contour?

I have looked for a synthetic stock for my M77 Compact for a while.I want the same stock size as the original----haven't found one yet! If you find one please report it back here. Thanks Paul
