Reloading Manual ????

What reloading manual is the most used, today, or does everybody use the Internet for info?? 30 years ago when I was doing some reloading, there weren't any computers to get your loading data from. I lost the manual I had so I was curious as to how it's done, today....

Around 40 years ago I worked up my loads for my favorite calibers.
They came mostly from the little Winchester load data pamphlets. Or the Speer or Hornady manual.

I'm still using the same loads, they still work.

When I consult a manual now it's usually the Hodgdons Annual Manual.

I'm not sure there's a "most used" book, but in addition to the Hodgdon's book, the Lyman books, the Hornady book, Lee's "Modern Reloading" and the books from Sierra and Speer are all popular. Most of these are updated periodically, and it's a good idea to get new ones whenever practical--recipes DO change from time to time. And new components are either available (like lead free bullets) or on their way (like more lead free primers) that will add to the "knowledge base."

Like Joe (J Miller), I get a LOT of my recipes from the little "booklets" the powder mfrs. publish.

The "big" books you've gotta get in hard copy as far as I know. The little "booklets" are generally available online. Old meets new...

Several of the online vendors usually have a good selection of books. I've used MidwayUSA and Graf's more than others, but they're just two of many good ones.

I keep adding manuals to the shelf. Lyman, Speer, Hornady, Hodgdon's, Sierra. Whatever one is missing I'm sure to find in another. The "bullet maker" manuals tend to go on the light side. OK for getting started on a particular combination.

I tend to use my Hornady manuel as my first book to grab when I start something. Next,, I tend to cross reference whatever I'm working on with Hodgeon, Lyman, Nosler, and Barnes. Once I do that,, I have a pretty good idea of where to start with most components. PS; I just got the latest Hornady manuel. Always buy updated info.
