Reeder Custom 24 and 25 Cal Revolvers

24 and 25 caliber customs just finished last week. Built on consecutive serial number stainless Blackhawks. Oversize 8 shot cylinders, 7.5 inch barrels, and Gary's "Gunfighter" round butt grip modification. All the expected custom touches. The cartridges are based on a full length 22 Hornet case. Off the shelf custom die sets and loading data included.

What are the unsightly knobs? Otherwise gorgeous guns. I don't understand the reason for the weird calibers, but obviously floats your boat.

Are you talking about the scope rings?

Notice, there are no sights on the guns.

I don't see anything else that could be misconstrued.

I think Gary is running about 12 months on most full custom jobs these days. If you've asked him to build something with an unobtanium component it might take longer. Old guys that could shoot at one time in their lives and would like to continue to shoot well find that optics are the answer. I still shoot irons on some guns but I need real good light to see the front sight well. I like scoped handguns. Expecting them to keep me shooting until I'm dead.

Nice pair Axe! Gary does it again! Very tasteful to boot and those scope bases look solid. What kind of base and rings are those? Thinking about scoping a .475 Linebaugh of mine jut like that.

That ring and base combination are the Leupold base and dual dovetail rings that Gary recommends.

What type of scope do you prefer? I tried it. The cross hairs float all over the place for me. I did appreciate the nice field of view it provided tho!
