New production .480 Alaskan, 4.2" Redhawk 45 colt examined at show:
1. Recoil plates are gone...firing pin retainer (black) installed from rear, ala SP-101, then GP-100 a few years ago.
2. MIM triggers (cast hammers...DPris was right...only SP's get MIM hammers).
3. Extractor on .480...pinless, but symmetrical. Didn't look at Redhawk's.
4. MIM front Cylinder latch. MIM thumbpiece.
Looks like changes that began with the SP have percolated throughout the DA lineup.
