Does anyone have a link to an actual video or photos on changing out the rear sight blade on the Redhawk? I've read all the descriptions on how it's done, but cannot seem to get the blade out of the rear sight.

Brownell's used to have a tool to change blades. If I recall there is a nub
on the blade that catches the spring on the one side.

Some of the blades can be a real bugger to get out. But Thel is correct about the nub. You need remove the windage adjustment screw then manually slide the blade somewhere back toward the middle until the nub lines up wiht the slot. The blade normally does not come out easily (takes some wiggling and cussin') but this is the only position where it will come out at all.

That "nub" ( and its corresponding slot in the sight body) on the later, newer guns was to keep the sight blade from "jumping out" under recoil.......bit tougher to "explain", but quite easy to show with pictures or doing it once or twice

I knew all about the nub. Still took a vise, a pair of vise grips, and a Russian weightlifter to get the sight blade out of the slot even with everything lined up correctly.

Tools needed to work on a Ruger's rear site no matter the model

no, it's better to stop into church and light a candle........... 8)

or as the naysayers 'believe', walk away, take a pause, forget it for a while and come back later....then it usually works........
