Are there 4" and 4.2" Redhawks out there?......or do they all have 4.2" barrels?

If I'm correct, they used to be 4" but the change was made for Canadian laws.

This is from another website:

The 4.2″ barrel length is also due in part to Canadian firearm laws, which limits new handguns to barrel lengths of 105mm or more (that length was intentional in the law, as it prohibited the many guns with 4″ barrels). 4.2″ makes it available to our neighbors to the north.

I bought one at a gunshow about 2 years ago. It's a 4 inch model. There are still lots of them around. Unless you live in Canada, I wouldn't worry about it.

I thought they were first produced with a 4" barrel, then changed to accomodate the Canadian law. I just wasn't sure if I was recollecting right.
