It's been discussed at length. Shoots well with 45 Colt, not as well with 45 ACP but that is to be expected with the short case in the long chamber.

What he said. In my limited, informal shooting ACP ammo shot very well out to 15 yards, then seemed to open up at 25 more than the LC ammo did. It would certainly do well at self-defense distances, but probably wouldn't be your best choice for target work.

As to problems, yes, more than my fair share, but Ruger made it right to the point of replacing my first gun, including shipping and FFL transfer fees.
