Red Dot

Why not a black dot sight? Is there a reason not made?

Well, black is the absence of light, so maybe if you turned off the red dot you could say you have black light?
Seriously, I don't think it's possible to produce a black dot with LEDs. (light emitting diode) as the diode projects a light beam into a mirror that you see with your eye.

This type of sight was invented on Christmas Day and ever since you can only get red and green dots.

My T-36 Weaver has the 1/8 Min Dot which is black. Guess that is different though. Still being red/green color challenged I thought black might work but what do I know.
