7 gr of Unique for a 240 gr lead swc was my starting load. I took it on .5 increments up to 10, but that gave me leading. I settled on 8.5 grains. It's my "light target" load.

Here's another question. I printed off handloads.com's 44 mag reloading data. They list unique as one of the powders for their loads. Over to the far right the source is listed. There is unique by alliant, and unique by quest. Are they the same?

I believe that is referring to the source of the data. They have factory data, sourced from Alliant, and loads that have been submitted by others, which give "guest" as the source. Be very, very, very careful anytime you think you might want to even consider using load data from someone you don't know over the internet.
