a guy on one of our local bulletin boards is posting for sale 7 bricks of RemingtonThunderbolts for the low low price of $85.00/box (500 rds for you guys in Rio Linda).
Hope this ends soon.

Please do not buy from these gouges.
That is just perpetuating the problem.

Check this notice out.

One of the local boards i browse a lot. NO MORE ADS FOR 22 AMMO ALLOWED!
Wish more would do it!

Things are slowing some and ammo is on places like midway a lot longer before selling out of stock now. Prob is , they arent much better at $.09/round or so. I still dont need it that bad. I'll make it a point though to tell all the gougers at this weekends gunshow that midway has the cci standards for $44 a brick and amuse myself with their reactions!

Sure you can, it is a free market. Just don't let anyone here know that! :) It will put their knickers in a wad.  Of course I won't buy at that rate, and I don't have any I want to sell.

Stuck is right. That stuff is pure poison. It's the worst quality ammo I've ever known of. Leads beyond description using any words in the English language. During the height of the ammo drought I found nearly three cases of the stuff in my garage and sold it for $.99 per box to a guy with a stern warning that it was guaranteed to lead his barrels to the point of disbelief.

Of all the .22 bricks I have squirreled away, I do have 2 bricks of Remington Thunderbolts.... or maybe it Cyclones. Anyway.... if anyone wants it bad enough I'd sell it for $85 per brick. 8)

During the last 24 months I have been asked about ammo ALOT from friends and church members. Those looking to buy a little ammo for their selves or the kiddies new rifle I help. It is not that they cannot afford it but availability is zero. I reckon I have give away 2000 rounds of .22 in the last 2 years.

Walmart in my area had 1000 ct boxes of federal .22 LR for about $50 a box. Also recently had CCI standard velocity 100 Rd boxes for just shy of $8 after tax.

1000 ct boxes?!?!!? I didn't know there was any such a thing.
