O.k. I just got home from the range with my new sr9c I bought this week. I will say I am impressed with the function straight out of the box. First I ran about 50 rounds through my cc g19 at 10 yards then the sr9c at 10 yards. I was very impressed, I shot a bit right the first 10 rounds, just outside the center of my target, but just a little. The next 10 rounds were right on the money then the next 10, double tapping were right there too with no actual sight adjustment. I am impressed with recoil and trigger being stock, little bit more reset then im used to but no biggie, recoil was excellent! very easy to control especially rapid fireing. I ran a total of 500 rounds through her without 1 single issue, not 1 !!!!.
Now as far as the grip, sights, reloading, drawing, etc. I rate this sr9c right up there at the top of its class, better than the taurus, m&p, and glock 26, and springfield too!! ( just my opinion though). My glock 19 has the ghost rocket, with minimal reset and the trigger lb is about 2.1 lbs, night sights, and I have a bunch of trigger time with it, so for me to say the sr9c shot almost as good as my g19 says alot. I ran wwb, federal, rws, winchester nato, speer lawmen, and winchester jhp 124 gr +p, not 1 problem. Would I suggest this sr9c to friends??? absolutely!!!. I would certainly trust this ruger with my life without a doubt. It would also be a great gun for new shooters, females new to shooting, and a great cc gun for all looking for a good 9mm. Of all the handguns I have shot in the past 20+ years, this one is definately top of the class.

I read this time and time again before deciding on the SR9c, most people love them. After deciding I needed something compact and wanting to add a semi auto it made my choice pretty easy.

825 trouble free rounds here also...Glad to read another happy owner.

Yes I thought about it for weeks and finally went and picked one up this week. It may very well take the place of my 19 in the near future. I first plan on getting a good set of night sights.

Congrats on a good choice! I love mine. I keep trying to come up with a reason to justify buying a new carry gun, but i can't find one (aside from just wanting another gun!).

If you need a holster for it, I just started making a couple more like this one :

I am glad that you like your new gun. It seems like a very nice design.

Glad you finally got one...and that it's a good one. Have fun, Vern.

I wish I could agree on the reliability of the sr9c, but I bought a new one three weeks ago and so far it's been terrible. Right out of the box without cleaning it would fail to eject every other shot. After cleaning it was a little better, but not much. Different ammo - no inprovement. And the trigger - I haven't measured the pull, but it's not good. It's going back to the dealer.
