I always thought that the old style GP100 grips were secretly designed to suit a left handed shooter. The divit that allows space for the empties to eject (and, I suppose is a thumb rest for right handed shooters) is perfectly placed, and sized, for my trigger finger knuckle to rest in. Anyone else make that same observation?

Likewise I always thought a 77, 77/22 safety was better suited for a lefty. Can't understand how a right handed shooter could ever work the thing. It makes no sense to me they offer a left handed 77 with the safety on the WRONG side. I prefer the right handed gun as it seems more left handed. Pitty the gun they REALLY need to make left handed they won't--10/22

AMEN!!!

I can't believe it would be any challenge to manufacture, and Ruger could advertise the only semi-auto .22 rifle designed specifically for left-handers!

---And I'm not ignoring the bottom-ejecting Browning. The safety is wrong.

I am afraid even if they did, it would be awkward & clumsy for me. I have gotten used to the right handed versions of the 10/22. The same with the Glock pistol...after years of right-handed guns, special LH guns are "different". I have a LH 6.8SPC AR-15 & while I like the idea of it...I am more familiar with the RH mods. Also, some models both rifle & pistol feature a reversible mag release...I tried a few set up like this and went for the wrong side every time, which would prolly be +97% of the firearms out there....

But, back to the OP, as a lefty, I am always surprised how well a factory GP100 shoots for me...every time...no matter if that box of .357 has been sitting in the bed of the truck all winter...the most "inexpensive" gun show reloads...never a problem... :D :D :D
