Question about the .22/45 Lite

Is the pic rail on these removable? I'm assuming it is just screwed on but haven't been able to examine one in-hand. I think I want one but I'd want to be able to remove the rail. Thanks,

Yes it is held on with screws.

It's a simple matter to take the rail off. Keep it and the screws in your gun box incase you ever decide to put an optic on your gun. You can get filler screws from Brownell's or at some hardware stores that stock gunsmithing screws. The gun will look better if you put in the filler screws.

10-4, thanks guys. And I might want an optic sight at some point, but it's not the primary use I have in mind and I'd prefer the rail not be on there for my intended use.
