Question about a Box for a 1983 RDA-34HT

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if this box is the correct box for a 1983 Security Six RDA-34HT? It's dated January, 1978

Also, what's up with the Ruger Eagle being a black/gold color. The seller says it's rare. Something tells me it's not the box for my 1983 blued 4" heavy barrel target grip SS. If it's not correct, does anyone have the correct box they want to sell?

Interesting box.
To see if it's the correct box for your gun,, look at the serial number on your gun & compare it with the one written on the box. If close,, most likely the correct box,, if the label info is correct.

Box = 158-44989 (1982)
Mine = 159-699XX (1983)

I'll call Ruger this a.m. to make sure model number is correct to label.

I just send the seller of the box an email seeing if he has any further insight on why the box is that color, (i.e., special run or just a mistake at the printer like running out of ink). Once I get a response I'll post it.

I'm no expert by a long shot but the area of time you are talking about is a yellow box with black trim.

The box colors (yellow & black) appear to be correct. The question becomes about the gold trim around the Eagle,, and the label markings matching the model he has.

I inspected the Security Six I was going to buy this a.m., and it wasn't quite up to par. So I passed on it.
