I posted this on gunsmithing forum but not much activity down there
the last couple of days, so I thought I would try here.

I recently acquired a 77/357 which has been a pleasure to shoot. It
has a crisp trigger pull but would help if it was a tad lighter. I have
heard or read somewhere that the Valquartsen Sear and spring they
sell for the 77/22 will fit just fine in the 77/357 as it is the same
trigger group. Can anyone confirm this or point me to some info
that will help me determine if this is true. If so I will be ordering
a new sear and spring and I think it is supposed to bring it down
to about 1.5 pound pull. I called Valquartsen a few times but their line has been
busy and I haven't been around to receive a call back.

thanks

Yes, it will work just fine. I installed one in mine with no issues at all.

However, expecting their sear alone to lower the pull to 1.5lbs isn't realistic, IMO. I think to get that low, you'd need a bit of work done to the trigger as well.

Mine (with no other work) is just under 4lbs, but it is much more crisp without all the creep it had from the factory.

Thanks 9 x 19. I now have one on the way. As it exists the trigger
pull has almost no creep, but is just too hard. Hopefully this
new sear will do the trick.
