Propane Grill is fixed! 😀

I only have one question. Why do folks who use propane call it grilling? Grilling involves charcoal and/or wood. Otherwise you're just cooking without a roof and climate control. 🤦‍♂️
Is it the act of cooking over an open fire on a grill shaped piece of metal?

If I were cooking over wood fire I would be bbq’ing right?

On propane I would still get flame grilled marks on the burgers and steaks.

Just my opinion. Grilling can be done with gas, charcoal or whatever as long as a grill is involved. Barbecue involves smoking the meat whether it is Texas style, pulled pork or whatever. They are different things.

Edited to Add: I am glad to learn you fixed your grill.

Congrats.👍
While we do have, and occasionally use, a propane gas grill that's on the premises...We're also very much aware of the fact that pretty much everything tastes considerably better when grilled over charcoal. 😉

Glad to hear that you got your Weber grill fixed, it was way too nice to send it to the curb. I have had a Weber for about 10 years now (3 burner Genesis II) and it is by far the best grill I’ve ever owned. It cooks evenly, heats true to temperature and is great for two zone cooking. Recently I’ve been cooking bacon on it, keeps the heat and grease out of the kitchen and so far no problems with flare ups, although I do have to empty the grease tray or the dogs will do it for me 🙄. Hope you get many more years of enjoyment out of it.

I don’t like cooking on aluminum either. But unfortunately probably 99% of restaurants use aluminum cookware. Probably 99.5% really.

Isn’t aluminum linked to Alzheimer’s?
Sometime back, a researcher linked alumimium to alzheimers, apparently from cooking. It fell by the wayside when another researcher found out those affected, lacked a chemical in their blood which he said helped get rid of any that got into your system. Havent heard anything since that wasent insane or trollisch.

We have had natural gas, propane, and finally Weber charcoal grills. I like grilling over charcoal in a Weber kettle grill the best. Our second Weber grill is just a regular kettle but they have improved them with a easily removeable ash catcher at the bottom and a cooking thermometer in the lid making it less messy. We grill mostly beef burger patties but I love the challenge of getting them just right, fully cooked but not over cooked or burnt. When doe right they are hard to beat.
